How I will work during the COVID
If anyone in my house has to isolate
If anyone in my household is showing symptoms of coronavirus or is asked to isolate, I will cancel your booking. I will let you know when we are out of isolation and I'm able to work again.
If anyone in your house has to isolate
If anyone in your household is showing symptoms of coronavirus or is asked to isolate, please cancel your booking. I'm afraid I cannot walk your dog if you are self-isolating.
Handwashing and hygiene
I will wash my hands and use hand sanitiser as often as I can. But please be aware that I will have to touch your dog and their collar and lead during the walk.
Government guidelines are that you should wash your hands after handling animals. You should also give their collar and lead a wipe down as soon as they get home.
If I normally pick your dog up while you are out
I will pick your dog up as normal. I will touch as little as possible in your house but you should still wipe down door handles, taps, bowls etc when you get home.
If you will be at home for any reason when I pick up or drop off your dog, please let me know so that we can socially distance.
Picking up your dog if you are at home
I will ring your doorbell and step back to a socially safe distance. Please put your dog in my car and fasten the seat belt. When I drop off your dog we can do the same thing in reverse.
Dropping your dog off at my house
If you drop your dog off at my house, please put them in my car (the red one) and fasten their seat belt. Then please ring the doorbell or text me so that I know they have arrived.
If you pick your dog up after the walk, please ring the doorbell and step back to a socially safe distance. Then I will put your dog in your car and fasten the seat belt. If this is not convenient for you, I will put them in my car for you to collect.
About the walk
We may not be able to go to our usual variety of places for walks during the Coronavirus outbreak as not all are open. If your dog has not been for a walk with me for a while, I will keep them on the lead until I am confident that they are used to me again.
